What to expect

Here's the forecasted schedule for the season! Veggies listed in grey boxes are guaranteed for that week. However, those in orange boxes may not be available in abundance during the first week. For instance, tomatoes become plentiful mid August; therefore, I may only have enough for half the members initially, with the rest receiving them in subsequent weeks. Expect recurring pick ups of peas, tomatoes, cucumber, zucchini, beans, and Asian broccoli throughout the season.

Additionally, I offer wildcard greens like kale and Swiss chard, along with surplus quantities of larger, slower-growing crops such as cabbage, broccoli, and carrots, which can be used to fill in gaps or purchased as extras.

This is just a forecast! Weather and other factors can and will alter this schedule.

The veggie list at a glance:
Arugula, Basil, Beans, Beets, Bok choy (+baby), Broccoli, Asian broccoli, Cabbage, Napa cabbage, Carrot, Cauliflower, Celeriac, Celery, Chives, Cucumber, Fennel, Garlic, Garlic scapes, Kale (+baby), Kohlrabi, Red orach, Leeks, Lettuce mix (+heads), Shallots, Green onions, Parsley, Parsnips, Peas, Peppers, Potato, Radish, Diakon, Spinach,  Squash, Swiss chard, Tomatoes, Hakueri turnip, and Zucchini.

Why a CSA?

A harvest box program is a CSA (community supported agriculture) model where you and members of your community invest in supporting a farm. The most expensive and least profitable part of the season is at the beginning. This is when farmers put in huge amounts of work and money with no income until crops are ready.

This makes farming incredibly risky as income isn’t even guaranteed when crops are ready.

A CSA gives you the chance to provide stability by investing in the farm at the start of the season. Each week of the season you receive a veggie box with the best produce harvested that week!
